European Languages Day in SP1 in Poland

On September 26, 2018, the European Day of Languages was celebrated at Primary School No. 1 in Grajewo. Thanks to the dynamic cooperation of foreign language teachers and students, the holiday is part of the calendar of permanent school events.

During the solemn appeal, the students were encouraged to learn foreign languages through short theatrical scenes, poems, singing songs in English, and playing the saxophone of the song "Morning". The students also prepared a lot of interesting information about English-speaking countries and a souvenir corner connected with other countries. Many posters were made and posted about the celebration of this holiday in our school.

During the appeal, the goals and results of the new Erasmus + project "Food for Thought - A Cultural Recipe of European Traditions and Customs" 2018-2020 were presented and students were encouraged to participate. Presentations were also sent by project partners showing cooperating schools, their regions, cities and traditional dishes.

The aim of the Council of Europe's establishment of this event was to make the public aware of the importance of multilingualism in Europe, cultivating cultural and linguistic diversity, and supporting language learning, also outside the formal education cycle.

Europejski Dzień Języków w SP1

26 września 2018 r. w Szkole Podstawowej nr 1 w Grajewie obchodzono Europejski Dzień Języków. Dzięki prężnej współpracy nauczycieli języków obcych oraz uczniów święto to wpisało się kalendarz stałych imprez szkolnych.

Podczas uroczystego apelu uczniowie byli zachęcani do nauki języków obcych poprzez krótkie scenki teatralne, wierszyki, śpiewanie piosenek w języku angielskim, grę na saksofonie utworu pt.: „Morning”. Uczniowie przygotowali również wiele ciekawych informacji na temat krajów anglojęzycznych oraz kącik z pamiątkami związanymi z innymi krajami. Przygotowano i rozwieszono  wiele plakatów informujących o obchodach tego święta w naszej szkole.

Podczas apelu przedstawiono cele i rezultaty nowego projektu Erasmus+ „Food for Thought - A Cultural Recipe of European Traditions and Customs” 2018 - 2020 oraz zachęcano uczniów do udziału w nim. Zaprezentowane zostały także prezentacje nadesłane przez partnerów projektowych przedstawiające szkoły współpracujące, ich regiony, miasta oraz tradycyjne dania.

Celem ustanowienia tego wydarzenia przez Radę Europy było uświadomienie ogółowi społeczeństwa znaczenia wielojęzyczności w Europie, pielęgnowanie różnorodności kulturowej i językowej oraz wspieranie nauki języków obcych, także poza formalnym cyklem kształcenia.
